BRIDGES Mentoring Program

Assists men and women who are coming out of prison and want to make positive changes in their lives. Initially, the BRIDGES Mentoring Program will focus on two prisons, California Rehabilitation Center (Norco) and California Institute for Women (Corona). Only offenders who have been involved in the Catholic Chaplaincy programs in the prisons, and who have been recommended by the Chaplains, will be accepted into the BRIDGES Mentoring Program. We need volunteers who are willing to mentor these men and women, to offer encouragement, advice and practical assistance. Ideally, mentor teams will be made up of 2 mentors and journey with a mentee for one year afterwards. We all need good support in life, so please consider offering this kind of help to our incarcerated brothers and sisters. Training will be provided by the Office of Restorative Justice.
